AC-7 Core Mini app good for
Just spent the afternoon tracking and punching in piano parts at the other end of the studio from the computer. Pretty seemless.
You HAVE to forward the ports used by the app( 5004-5005) . Once your router is setup this app works perfectly. Using it with sonar X1 and it is seamless . Network latency is pretty well a non issue. Highly recommend this app to anyone who needs remote control of their DAW . Nice work!!
Followed the instructions on setup and no problems. Running Sonar 8.5 LE on Windows 7 and using a 3rd gen iPod.
Not too long ago it would have cost $500 or more to do what this app does for $2.99
and it works perfect. Thanks
Along with forwarding the ports 5004 to 5005 on your router to the computers up your editing on, also set up the midi controller as a Mackie controller in studio one and itll map everything for you nicely!
Some bad moments
Ok what a waste of time this App, and company is!
- Website has been down for some time.
- No help or documentation for the app!!!
- No way to tell how to use it.
I give it zero!
P.S.
For those of you who mentioned they followed directions, & it works great... Well can you tell the rest of us where the directions are?
Cant seem to get it to work on xp.. Also a scary click noise when any controls are touched ?!
I like the modes in this app so you can control diffent DAW programs very fast without having to remember what button does what. I replaced the old AC7 with this one and it is worth the price. The old AC7 did not fully work on windows but this app works full featured a most have in the vocal booth.
Works great, this will be very helpful when recording acoustic guitar on my own without have to move from the mic too much for re-takes, etc.
Works great on my W7 x64 machine using Reaper 3.74. Downloaded the rtpMIDI driver, and set it up as mentioned on the developers user forum. The jog dial is a little sluggish, and you cant adjust the volume of the "click" sound ... but it does what it says and is VERY handy.
I see meters, track names, pan ect ... all on my iPod Touch 4G.
FEATURE REQUEST = Let users adjust the volume of the "click" or at least mute it.
Up and running on Win7 64 bit in minutes, using Sonar Producer 8.5.
I would buy an iPhone (or iPod touch) just for this app, if I did not already have one.
